Hello to you, my most favourite type of Squirrel.
I can't believe we are here again and learning from home. I was really looking forward to seeing you all and hearing about your Christmas holidays (I hope they were good!). Don't worry, we will be able to keep apart but stay together with our blogs, emails and home learning. I have a new, mysterious and exciting mantle story for you to begin today.
This is how your home learning will work this time:
- A mantle story every day. This will be just like June and July last year; you will need to read the mantle chapter and complete either a maths or a writing task related to what happens in the story.
- SPAG or maths facts each day (2 of each per week). This will be a video on YouTube with a link on the blog.
- Friday's blog will have noncore activities, forest school with Miss Swain and music with Mrs McKee.
- Please read together everyday. Please contact the school if you are unable to access books at home. Year 2, please use your Rising Stars login to access books online.
Please email whaddonteachers@gmail.com every day to let us know how you are getting on and send in each day's work (all within one email please). As explained on ParentMail, I will send you feedback weekly but I will be on hand every day to answer any questions or help with any problems that might occur. I am here to help so please keep in touch. Together we will get through this lockdown!
Today's home learning:
I hope your home learning gets off to a good start today Squirrels. Remember to try and find a quiet space to work, to take brain breaks and go outside for a walk if you can. I will be doing the same! Don't forget to use the Doodle apps too.
From Miss Cartwright 😊
