Welcome to the Squirrel Station

Hello to all you super Squirrels and your adults. I hope you're well and are enjoying spending time with each other at home.

It was quite strange finishing school on Tuesday, especially as I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you all. Luckily, we can all talk to each other and share our learning on here (the blog page) or by email. Miss Nash and I have set up a new teachers' email address.

The email address is: whaddonteachers@gmail.com

One activity on each blog will be compulsory to make sure you all keep going with key skills. Parents, please take a photo of the children's work / them doing the activity and let me know how they get on via email. I will feed back to you.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you've all been up to and giving you some ideas for things to do at home. I will respond to any work you send to me (the compulsory and non-compulsory) with ideas for what to do next.

I will put up different ideas of things you can do at home on here, including maths, reading and writing. There will also be some creative things to do. I have been using my extra time at home to read books (I hope you have too!) and walk my dogs. I saw some Cowslips yesterday, which are a pretty, yellow wildflower. Have you been on a Spring walk yet?

Today's challenge is to make a poster to help you learn your maths facts for the week. Be as creative as you can whilst making something that you can use to learn your maths facts. I look forward to seeing what you create!

Here are some ideas to keep you going:

I can't wait to see what you've all got up to. Don't forget to Doodle and there are plenty of activities, ideas and booklets on the Whaddon school website to keep you busy.

Love from Miss Cartwright
